Four Teenagers Injured in Trumpet Crash PDF Print E-mail

Four teenagers have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Ledbury last Saturday night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident near the Trumpet Inn, Ledbury at approximately 1.30am.

Four ambulances, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer together with doctors from the Medical Incident Response Team (MERIT) and the Mercia Area Response Team (MARS) were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews were sent to an incident involving a single vehicle.

“On arrival, Crews found four teenagers had been ejected from the vehicle in which they were travelling.

“Two females were treated for serious head and pelvic injuries. They were immobilised with the use of a neck collar, spinal board and pelvic splint before being conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

“A 17-year old male was treated for a serious head injury and conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

“A further male was taken to Hereford hospital with minor injuries.”
