Ledbury Town Council organised a meeting at the Burgage Hall on 10th January to discuss this year's Jubille celebrations.
Reports suggest that only seven people attended the meeting with a council source stating there were 'very few' there. The council was collectively disappointed.
If that is so, the meeting only served to highlight public disinterest and apathy towards the Jubilee celebration.
According to the council spokesperson no decisions were made at the meeting.

I'm not surprised really - in a pretty grim economic period most people are probably taking stock. Any lavish expenditure will certainly not be on a sufficiently pampered family with no relevance in today's world.
Surely the council would be better occupied dealing with the threat of out-of-town supermarkets and the development of the town? It's funny how none of them to my knowledge have said a word about Sainsbury. What exactly is going on when you can't even trust your own town councillors to be both open about their views and proactive in their endeavours???
Rather talk about the royal family hey???
