there's an ozone hole, so watch you don't get burn
A course for executives on making decisions
heavy metal in the rivers - no fish or would-be swimmers
Nitrates, phosphates, exporting PCBs
Insecticide to homicide - accuse the chemical industry
of spreading their pollution to other continents
The Great British Experiment
Cattle call the farmer, their udders full and swollen
as he picks up a transmission warning further global warming
The sun melts the ice clots revealing ghostly trees
pining for their long lost deciduous families
Tractors choke and purr hooked to instruments of torture
mechanised rotating blades that rape the land and haunt her
Subsidies for inefficiencies - it's we who pay the rent
The Great British Experiment
The courts are overspilling as they lock way more poor
prisons overcrowded - it must be a sell-out tour
Justice where there's money, but there's not much left for us
Great Britain is not what once what it was
A few have the nerve to rise above the law
whilst we learn subservience - the beck and the call
And meanwhile our masters re-write the evidence
The Great British Experiment
